A couple of months ago I released a tutorial for a Kodi add-on called Genesis which allowed people to stream any movie or TV show for free. Since making that tutorial I have heard rumours that Genesis was no longer working or it was full of “glitchy bugs”. I have since come across this new add-on called “Quasar” which takes P2P technology and allows you to stream torrents on the go without having to wait for them to download; all inside Kodi. Since making the discovery Quasar is now my choice for streaming HD movies and TV shows to my media centre setup because its far more stable than having to rely on add-ons like Genesis which depend on video hosting websites for their sources (which can be easily removed). Anyway take a look at the video below as I review Quasar and show you how to install it on your Kodi.
Quasar uses P2P technology to download torrents on the go. When dealing with torrents or anything P2P related I always recommend using a VPN to ensure a safe and secure experience. Not only does a VPN give you anonymity online but also helps unblock geo-restricted content and sources from different countries. Click the banner below to get 85% off a 12-month VPN package thanks to Ivacy.
Please make sure you install the “KickAss Torrents” provider (as shown in the tutorial) as it comes with extra components that help Quasar to function correctly.
This add-on is brand new so I have no idea how long it will last, or what its future holds as its obviously a work in progress. Please don’t post negative feedback if the add-on suddenly stops working as its out of my control.
Latest version is v2.0.0
This tutorial is both Windows/Mac compatible
